The Alchemist..

'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho was the first novel that I picked up shortly after strolling into PPborders. the short intro at the back of the novel catches my interest and curiosity.. it was the first ever fiction book that i have an urge to read on...
Carrying it in my arms, i went looking for a seat instinctively...

'The novel tells the tale of Santiago, a boy who has a dream and the courage to follow it. After listening to "the signs" the boy ventures in his personal, Ulysses-like journey of exploration and self-discovery, symbolically searching for a hidden treasure located near the pyramids in Egypt...'

'the greatest lie in the world is that at some point we lose the ability to control our lives, and become the pawns of fate. '
It's an exciting novel that bursts with optimism and tells you that everything is possible as long as you really want it to happen...

dreams are meant for us to fulfil, whether a dream does come true depends entirely on us...

It came to my realisation that at some point of life, we do overwhelmed ourselves with pessimism...
More than often, we are afraid of making the first step of realising our dreams due to our fear of failure and disappointment. Without the courage to follow our dreams, we end up living lifes of void...that's when life becomes meaningless ..

read till pg44.to be continued...
